De 28 /09 a 04/10 em parceria com o Consulado da Noruega o Brasil desembarca representado por Nelcirlan Oliveira e Raniere Dias, boa sorte rapazes!

Os tijolos serão reciclados de Expo Morrinho em Veneza com o auxilio do curador Charlie Wattens.

Yet another European country conquered! Programmed will be workshops, debates, and role-playing of Morrinho. From September 28 to October 10, in partnership with the Norwegian Consulate, Nelcirlan Oliveira and Raniere Dias will be representing Brazil. Good luck guys!

The bricks will be reused from Expo Morrinho in London and with the help of curator Charlie Wattens.

Os índios da ONG vieram para o Rio de Janeiro onde filmaram a rotina da Vila Pereira da Silva bem como os atrativos da cidade e, em troca, nosso integrantes foram acompanhados do Diretor Sergio Bloch para o Acre filmar o estilo de vida nas Aldeias indígenas da região que fazem parte do projeto. PROJECT "EXCHANGE OF VIEWS"

Check out the photos of the project "Exchange of Views", an audiovisual exchange of local culture between TV Morrinho and the ngo Video nas Aldeias in the state of Acre. Te indigenous people from Acre game to Rio de Janeiro where they filmed the daily lives of Vila Pereira da Silva, and other parts of the city. In exchange, some of our members visited Acre with the director of the project, Sergio Block. There they filmed the daily lives of the village of the indigenous tribes of the region. Soon we will have more news of this exchange.

This brought a huge branch crashing down on the roof of the Morrinho Headquarters, creating a large hole. Today we received the illustrious visit of the Minister of Tourism Luiz Barreto at Vitrine Brasil, which works for tourism as a community base. He was presented with a brick produced by the Morrinho NGO.

“We want a world were all in the world are welcome.”

The former Minister of Tourism Marta Suplicy also graced us with a visit and took with her a gift of a Morrinho-decorated brick.

We thank you for the opportunity to be able to change the lives of these boys by way of the partnership with the federal government. Guys, we are Morrinho!!!

Espaço Oficinas Morrinho traçado por Arquitetos da PUC/RJ - projeto MTur

Anunciamos as primeiras ações do projeto do Ministério do Turismo que trará para o Turismo no Morrinho o espaço Oficinas Morrinho, fornecendo capacitação e aprendizado da prática competitiva Morrinho pelos garotos do projeto para a comunidade da Pereira da Silva.

O projeto também prevê capacitação de Guias de Turismo, monitores mirins e aulas de inglês para os membros do turismo, além da inclusão das meninas no projeto com Oficinas de Costura e Moda, entre outras praticas. Lembramos que o Morrinho comecou apenas com meninos por se tratar de uma brincadeira de crianca onde apenas os meninos participavam.

Morrinho’s Office Space Designed By Architects from PUC in Rio – Project MTur

We are please to announce that the Ministry of Tourism’s first actions of the project will be to create office space for Morrinho. This will facilitate learning about Morrinho’s design objectives involving the youth of the Pereira da Silva community.

The project will also provide for the training of tour guides, monitors, and English classes for the Morrinho tourism members. Additionally the girls of the project will be included, among other things, with the office of fashion and sewing. Remember that Morrinho stared with only boys, since it started as a child’s game where only boys participated.

A mesma congregou todos os mobilizadores e integrantes dos projetos sociais cariocas que a SETUR premiou com verbas através de edital público no decorrer de 2008.
Estavam presentes na festa a equipe da Secretaria de Turismo e seus respectivos secretários e claro, a nossa querida ONG Morrinho com o projeto Tursmo no Morrinho que ganhou uma Sede para abrigar seus turistas na maquete Morrinho através do Edital citado.
Lembramos que o projeto Turismo no Morrinho foi um dos projetos premiados pelo Ministério do Turismo e receberá novo investimento em 2009 em parceria com a ONG LUNUZ e o mesmo prevê a construção do espaço para as Oficinas Morrinho, que decolará desta forma o outro segmento da ONG que é o Morrinho Social.

Cocktail Party with the Secretariat of Tourism in Rio Scenariumm
A cocktail party was thrown on behalf of Rio’s Secretariat of Tourism on November 26 at Rio Scenarium in Lapa. This was a gathering for all of those working on projects for local social responsibility that were promoted by SETUR throughout 2008.

Present at the gathering were various representatives from the Secretariat of Tourism and, of course, our beloved NGO Morrinho with the project Turismo at Morrinho, which was awarded an office to welcome tourists at the Morrinho model.

Remember that the project Tourism at Morrinho was one of the award-winning projects for the Ministry of Tourism and will receive a grant in 2009 in partnership with the NGO Lunuz. With this grant, Morrinho plans to build offices that will facilitate another branch of the NGO, which is Morrinho Social.

A Associação de Moradores e Amigos da Vila Pereira da Silva, fundada em fevereiro de 1980, comunica a todos que desde 16 de fevereiro de 2008 encontra-se sob nova direção.

Neste sentido temos a preocupação de resgatar e atrair antigos e novos parceiros e colaboradores da comunidade.
Esta nova diretoria tendo como Presidente a Sra. Kelly Martins de Oliveira, tem a honra de informar que em apenas oito meses implantou projetos e obras significativas para a comunidade, tais como; cobertura da quadra de esportes, construção do Centro de Cultura, coleta de lixo reciclável, limpeza e organização dos containers e caçamba de lixos, mutirões contra a dengue e etc.

Ainda é pouco diante de todas as necessidades da nossa comunidade, porém queremos torná-la modelo e para que isso se torne realidade, será de suma importância a sua ajuda e o apoio de todos.

E pensando nisso, principalmente nas crianças estamos lançando uma idéia: O PADRINHO OU MADRINHA no Natal.

Na festa do dia das crianças fizemos a distribuição de 300 (trezentos) brinquedos doados pelos moradores e alguns colaboradores.

Para a festa de Natal estaríamos relacionando o nome das crianças com idade entre 1 mês e 12 anos de idade, e cada uma destas crianças teriam um padrinho ou madrinha, que ficaria responsável por presentear seu (a) afilhado(a), com uma roupa ou sapato ou ambos, tendo a ONG Morrinho, como local de entrega.

A intenção é promover uma mobilização social e a união entre morro e o asfalto, além de fazer com que esse gesto de carinho se reflita em futuras parcerias.

Esta associação coloca-se á disposição de todos.

Adopt a Child For This Christmas!!!

The Association of Residents and Friends of the Vila Pereira da Silva, which was founded in February of 1980, has been at their new address since February 16 of this year.

We hope that this will attract old and new partners for the community.

The new director Mrs. Kelly Martins de Oliveira is proud to announce that in a mere eight months she has implemented such projects as building a cover for the sports square, constructing a Cultural Center, setting up a recycling program, cleaning and organizing the associated containers and trash bins, and a spearheaded a joint effort to combat dengue.

Although it is a bit early to start thinking about Christmas, we want to make sure to start early in order to be able to accomplish our goals. As such, we would like to start the idea of Godfathers or Godmothers for Christmas for our children.

We have set up for a distribution of 300 toys donated by community resident and various partners. We plan to link kids from the ages of one month to 12 years with an adoptive parent who would be responsible for that child’s gift. Suggested gifts are cloths or shoes (or both). Donations can be left at the NGO Morrinho.

The intention of this is to promote action and unity amongst the community, in addition to taking care of the local youth.

Please know that this project is open to anyone and we thank you in advance for your participation!

Quem diria que terra, tijolos, carrinhos de brinquedo e peças de LEGO poderiam se transformar numa obra de arte tão interessante e inusitada como a mostrada em Morrinho - Deus sabe tudo mas não é X9 (2008) O documentário de Fábio Gavião e Markão Oliveira conta a divertida história do Morrinho, que muita gente chama de maquete (ou de instalação, nos vários eventos em que foi exposto), mas que na verdade é um grande brinquedo construído por oito garotos da favela Pereira Silva (Pereirão para os íntimos) em 2001, reproduzindo a própria comunidade com tijolos quebrados ao meio como barracos e peças de LEGO como os moradores. Descoberto pelos diretores do longa ainda em 2001, o "brinquedo" ganhou fama e galgou os degraus do circuito internacional de exposições até chegar à 52ª Bienal de Veneza, em 2007 (através de reproduções feitas pelos próprios garotos, que fique claro, o original não sai de seu local de origem). Ao longo desses anos, o Morrinho cresceu junto com seus criadores, influenciado pelas mudanças experimentadas por eles e os influenciando também.
Nenhuma descrição que eu faça aqui vai dar conta do impacto visual que o Morrinho causa. Obviamente, não é uma reprodução perfeita, mas parece capturar a essência não só da Pereirão, mas de todas as favelas - e o filme usa isso a seu favor. A desinibição dos garotos envolvidos também é decisive para criar um clima leve e despretensioso, que torna possível falar de coisas sérias (tráfico de drogas, execuções sumárias, conflitos entre morros, enfim, toda a violência que envolve as favelas) sem tornar o filme pesado. Tudo a partir do Morrinho. Bailes, invasões policiais, manifestações, tudo é mostrado por ele, da maneira mais simples - e por isso objetiva - possível. E o resultado é surpreendente: alguns momentos, apesar de na prática serem feitas apenas de tijolos pintados e LEGO, podem ser assimilados de imediato, como o grande baile funk e a representação de um protesto de moradores, com direito a fechamento de ponte e embate direto com a polícia.
Outro grande mérito do filme é não tratar a realidade da favela com base no que poderia ou deveria ser, ou seja, não tenta conjeturar demasiadamente sobre as mazelas e carências daquelas pessoas, nem tenta extrair depoimentos emocionados e/ou revoltados. Ao não fazer juízos de valor, o documentário dá ao espectador acesso direto ao que realmente pensam aquelas pessoas e como funciona o seu mundo. Assim, vemos, através dos bonequinhos de LEGO, a descrição despreocupada do que pode acontecer com quem não "anda na linha"
ou como são resolvidos, sumariamente, alguns problemas dentro da comunidade. Cest la vie.
Os registros das viagens do grupo (os oito garotos e os diretores do filme, que se reuniram na ONG Morrinho) também são divertidíssimos, mais uma vez, graças à espontaneidade dos rapazes, unida a uma edição inspirada. Nessas viagens é possível ver a reação de italianos, franceses e espanhóis diante do trabalho (que para eles tem significado absolutamente diverso do que tem para nós), além de entender também qual a relação dos próprios rapazes com sua obra.
Ao trilhar um caminho original, Morrinho - Deus sabe tudo mas não é X9 se destaca entre tantos outros documentários sobre comunidades carentes, além de não ser um olhar de cima para baixo, lançado pelo mundo asfaltado sobre a favela de chão barrento. Mais do que isso, não tenta empurrar teorias artísticas ou sociológicas, tratando o Morrinho como o que ele é em sua essência: uma brincadeira de criança - e talvez por isso mesmo uma obra tão interessante.

Review of The Documentary “God Knows Everything But Is No Snitch”

“Favela being an exported product or a game is art”

Who would every say that a bit of earth, toy cars, and pieces of Lego could be transformed in to a work of art as interesting and institutionalized as the Morrinho showing – “God Knows Everything, But Is Not A Snitch” (2008). The documentary film by Fábio Gavião and Markão Oliveira tell the fun history of Morrinho, which is what a lot of people call a model (or an installation depending on which of the various events it has been exhibited), but in actuality it is a huge game constructed in 2001 by eight boys from the favela Pereira da Silva (or Pereirão for those who know it well). Morrinho reproduces their own community with bricks broken in half to look like shacks, and pieces of Lego to represent the community residents. In 2001, the “game” starting gaining fame and made a huge leap in the international exhibition circuit when it was present at the 52^nd Biennial of Venice in 2007 (which was a reproduction made by the creators of the original Morrinho – as it must be clearly states, the original artwork is never moved). Along the passing of years, Morrinho has grown as its creators have grown up. It has been influenced by the various changes and influences that its creators have also experienced.

Not a single way that I could describe here would give a semblance to the true visual impact that Morrinho causes. It is obvious that what I write in not a perfect reproduction, but I am to capture the essence of not only of Pereirão, but of all of the favelas – and film works toward this goal. The lack of inhibition of the guys involved in the project is also important in creating a light and unpretentious environment that makes it easy to talk about serious issues (such as drug trafficking, social exclusion, conflicts between different favelas, and basically all of the violence involved in favela life) creates a film with a strong message. Everything is possible at Morrinho – dances, police invasion, demonstration – everything is presented in a simple manner with this method of communication and representation. And the result is surprising. Merely with painted bricks and Lego, situation such as baile funk and the representation of a protest among residents with the closing of a bridge and direct confrontation with the police.

Another huge merit of the film is that it does not treat favela life as it should not be addressed. The film does not make assumptions about the problems of those that live in the favela, nor does it make any value judgments. The film gives its viewer direct access to what the residents of Pereirão really think and how their world works. In this way, through Lego toys, we see a carefree description of what happens to those who don’t “walk the line”, or how some problems are resolves within the community. Cest la vie.

The recordings of the group’s trip (the eight boys and the directors of the film the make up the NGO Morrinho) are extremely fun, yet inspiring, thanks to the spontaneity of the boys. On this trip, it was possible to see the reaction that Italians, French and Spanish had toward Morrinho’s work (which was a completely different reaction to what we Brazilians have). And it was also possible to understand the relationship of the boys themselves with their work.

In their own original path, Morrinho – “God Knows Everything But Is No Snitch” deals with disenfranchised communities like so many other documentaries, but it does not give a view from above looking down on favela life. In addition, the film does not try to push the artistic of sociological theories. It addresses Morrinho as it is in its essence: a child’s game – and maybe it is for this reason that it is such and interesting piece of work.

Inauguração do Espaço turistico e Cultural Morrinho

Aconteceu hoje às 10 hs na maquete Morrinho a inauguração do Centro Turistico e Cultural Morrinho com a presença do Secretário de Turismo Sr. Paulo Bastos, a comitiva da Secretaria de Turismo e todos os envolvidos na construção do espaço, incluindo a nova geração.
O evento foi aberto à comunidade onde foi oferecido bolo de chocolate, cachorro quente e refrigerante para brindar o momento que é tão importante para o Turismo no Morrinho e para a Vila Pereira da Silva.
Gostaria de agradecer a Secretaria de Turismo pelo apoio oferecido, à Fábio Gavião e Markão Oliveira pela ONG Morrinho, que nos presenteou com a possibilidade de hoje poder entrar com novos projetos no espaço e desenvolver o local de uma forma politicamente correta no exercício da cidadania de diferentes setores de uma forma sustentável com melhor distribuição de renda e criação de oportunidades, agradecer também aos conceptores da brincadeira que hoje transformam este espaço no sonho de qualquer pessoa em ter um quintal como o Morrinho nos fundos de suas casas, e , principalmente agradecer a João Vergara por ter me apresentado ao Projeto Morrinho e ter dado a oportunidade de trabalhar ao seu lado na construção de um futuro mais digno à todos e, finalmente obrigada a todos os parceiros, agencias e operadoras que acreditam no produto Morrinho Turismo.

Inauguration of Morrinho’s Touristic and Cultural Space

Today at 10:00 PM at the Morrinho was inaugurated at a Touristic and Cultural Center. Present were the Secretary of Tourism, Mr. Paulo Bastos, the committee of the Secretariat of Tourism and all of those involved in the construction of the model, including the younger generation.

The event was open to the community and offered chocolate cake, hot dogs, and soft drink to celebrate this very important moment for Tourism at Morrinho and for the Vila Pereira da Silva.

I would like to thank the Secretariat of Tourism for the support, and Fábião Gavião and Markão Oliveira for NGO Morrinho, that allowed us today’s opportunity to be able to explore new projects, and to develop the space as one of sustainable political correctness among different sectors to better distribute the product and to create opportunities. Thanks also to the creators of the game that today was transformed into the dream of any person in having a place like Morrinho close to their homes. A special thanks to João Vergara for having introduced me to Project Morrinho for and having given me the opportunity to work with him in constructing a more appropriate future for everyone. Finally, thank you to all of the partners, agencies and operators that believed in the product of Morrinho Tourism.

When we started out on a project such as this one, the goal was to transform Morrinho into a model project to develop Community Based Tourism into a Carioca community. And as such, adding to the touristic attractions of Santa Teresa - my great academic and practical goal. Today I am certain that this is a project of love that moves people to build a better world to transform as small community, into a neighborhood, a city, a state, a country – and but yet, why not a better world?
Thank you to all of those involved in this process for everything that we have gone through, from what we’ve learned, cultural exchanges among friends, shared spaces and respect earned through hard work and by discovering that there are definitely heroes at Morrinho! Contrary to what is said about Morrinho, there is no space for heroes, along this road I learned that the biggest heroes of Morrinho reside within each one of you that took an initiative to this fascinating game of live art. Congratulations guys!

Ontem no Cine Odeon Petrobrás aconteceu a estréia do filme "Morrinho - Deus sabe tudo mas não é x-9" de Fabio Gavião e Markão Oliveira.

O mesmo retrata a história da concepção da brincadeira Morrinho pelo olhar desses dois documentaristas que deram origem a TV Morrinho e depois a ONG Morrinho.

Com 10 anos de história e estrada, o projeto Morrinho mostrou nas telas o porquê é tão especial e chegou até o Festival Internacional de Cinema do Rio de Janeiro.

Yesterday at Cene Odeon Petrobrás a screening was held of the film “Morrinho – God Knows Everything But Is No Snitch” by Fabio Gavião and Markão Oliveira.

The film addresses the conceptual history of Morrinho’s game from the perspective of these two documentary film directors who developed TV Morrinho and the NGO Morrinho.

With 10 years of history and experience, the Morrinho project showed on the screens why it is so special and how it was able to arrive at the International Film Festival of Rio de Janeiro.

The Joint Effort of Gathering Material for The Model – Project SETUR

Check out the photos of the joint effort of gathering the material for the Morrinho model that was started on a small path with the aim of building a larger road.

The joint effort consisted of the presence of Team Morrinho, the younger generation, road sweepers and bricklayers from the community, and was made possible with the assistance of the Secretariat of Tourism and FIPE.

Dia 05 de setembro chegou a primeira leva do material que será utilizado na reforma do Centro Turistico e Cultural Morrinho, a nova Sede do Turismo no Morrinho.

O espaço é fruto de um concurso que a SETUR realizou no começo do ano para inscrever projetos oriundos de turismo social onde um dos contemplados foi a reforma e infra-estrutra do Turismo no Morrinho, um grande presente da SETUR para a comunidade Vila Pereira da Silva!

Nesta primeira fase do projeto, foram abertas trilhas na mata que conduzem à maquete visando encurtar o caminho e facilitar o carregamento do material pela equipe campeã que é composta pelos garotos do projeto Morrinho em parceria com os garis comunitários e moradores locais.

Importante pontuar que toda a equipe é oriunda da Vila Pereira da Silva, visando a importancia da participação da comunidade local no processo de implantação do Turismo bem como manter a sustentabilidade e incentivo de distribuiçõ de renda na comunidade.

A previsão de entrega para inauguração é dia 05 de outubro de 2008, se as condições meteorológicas forem favoráveis.

Project SETUR – The Material Has Arrived!!!

The first installation of materials arrived on September 5 for the purpose of being used for the Morrinho Touristic and Cultural Center, the new headquarters for Tourism at Morrinho. This project is the result of the a SETUR contest that took place at the beginning of the year for projects that deal with social tourism.

This first stage of the project makes it easier for our team of champions to carry materials. This team is made up of the guys from Morrinho in partnership with community workers and local residents.

It is important to emphasize that the entire team is joining forced for Vila Pereira da Silva, and understand that great importance for the local community to participate in the process of developing tourism as a sustainable way of maintaining the community and as a way of distributing the profits amongst the community.

The inauguration of the center is set for October 5, 2007 as long as the weather conditions are favorable.

More news will soon follow on our team of champions that is involved in Tourism no Morrinho – stay tuned!!!

Projeto Morrinho é aprovado no Ministério do Turismo

O projeto Turismo no Morrinho participou da seleção de projetos de Turismo de Base Comunitária proposta pelo Ministério do Turismo a nivel nacional.
O projeto foi aprovado entre 518 propostas onde apenas 50 projetos foram selecionados!
Essa fase de proposta inclui a capacitação dos integrantes do Turismo no Morrinho em parceira com a nova geração no tocante a cursos focados no atendimento ao turista e condução de um tour, implantação de um curso de inglês com certificação para a equipe do turismo e a reforma da parte de baixo da maquete para preparar a mesma para a comercialização do “TV Morrinho Live” em agencias e operadoras internacionais.
A previsão de inicio para esta fase de implantação está prevista para 2009 e terá a duração de 15 meses de execução.

Project Morrinho Is Approved by The Ministry of Tourism
The project of Tourism at Morrinho participated in a contest on Community Based Tourism Projects sponsored by the national Ministry of Tourism. The project was approved among 518 proposals where only 50 were selected!

This phase of the proposal included the training of the members of Tourism at Morrinho in partnership with the younger generation of kids and deals with courses on dealing with tourists, guiding a tour, implementing a certified English course for the members of the tourism team, and repair of the Morrinho model to make it ready for “TV Morrinho Live” in international agencies and operators.

It is planned for this to take place in 2009 over a period of 15 months.

A new partner of Tourism at Morrinho is Train of Corcovado. Last year they supported a visit for the Morrinho team to Christ the Redeemer, the new marvel of the modern world!

As atividades tiveram inicio às 11 hs na maquete Morrinho e seguiram até as 18 hs na quadra de esportes da comunidade com o show de Mc Maiquinho e DJ Flavinho.

The World of NGOs at The Morrinho Model

Today we had the world of NGOs at the Morrinho Model.

Activities started at 11:00 AM at the Morrinho model and went until 6:00 PM at the sports square in the community with a show by MC Maiquinho and DJ Flavinho.

In the photos you can see the best moments of the event, check them out!

We owe thanks for this opportunity to share our work to CIVS, an cultural exchange organization that started working in the area of education, which travels the world with its goal of exchanging experiences amongst the people of five continents.

We received a visit from the delegation of the following countries: France, Holland, Spain, Italy, Israel, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Brazil – all was to have new experiences and was in meant for building a better, more fair and peaceful world – which is a big goal of CIVS.

We dedicate this event to world peace, to sustainable development, to the preservation of natural resources and for the reduction of social inequalities.

Once again, we’d like to thank all members of Team Morrinho, the original and younger members, who have always been loyal partners of Tourism at Morrino. And because they believe in one the ways to reduce social inequalities is local sustainable development through tourism as a most basic tool.

Mundial de ONGs na Maquete Morrinho

Confirmou no dia 21 de julho das 9 às 18 hs o Mundial de ONGs no Morrinho!

Serão nove delegações de ONGs dos cinco continentes do mundo com cinco participantes cada que farão um dia de vivência na maquete Morrinho voltadas para aprender a prática competitiva que deu inicio à brincadeira!

O roteiro inclui quebrar tijolos, pintar os mesmos, montar um Morrinho, criar bonecos e roteiros para interagir com os mesmos, filmagem dos bonecos na maquete atuando e edição deste filme.

Serão envolvidos os oito participantes originais que deram início à brincadeira, 8 participantes da nova geração entre 12 e 17 anos, 5 guias de turismo, voluntários atuantes no projeto com idiomas para auxiliar nas atividades e na troca de experiências, além da participação especial do Mc Maiquinho e seu DJ Flavinho que finalizarão com um show na quadra de esportes da comunidade visando mostrar ao mundo o som do Funk que provém das favelas!

As atividades encerram com um futebol dos integrantes Morrinho X as demais ONGs!

Neste dia essas atividades serão dedicadas à Paz Mundial e ao Desenvolvimento Sustentável do Planeta mostrando que o Morrinho é mais do que apenas a Revolução Social na vida desta comunidade!!!!!

Em breve fotos e vídeos deste dia tão marcante e lembramos que todo dia 21 de julho o Morrinho comemorará o mesmo motivo: A Paz Mundial e o Desenvolvimento Sustentável do Planeta - tema que já faz parte do calendário de Eventos Morrinho.

The World of NGO’s at The Morrinho Model

The World of NGO’s will take place on July 21 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM at Morrinho!

There will be nine representatives from NGOs from five continents around the world, with five participants from each. This will be a day of living at the Morrinho model with the objective of learning the competitive practice that started as a game.

The itinerary included lessons on breaking and painting bricks, building your own “morrinho”, creating dolls and how to get them to interact with each other, filming of the dolls of the model and editing of this film.

Present will be the original eight members of Morrinho, eight members of the younger gen

eration who are between 12 and 17 years old, five tour guides, volunteers helping with language interpretation on the project. In addition, MC Maiquinho and DJ Flavinho wrapped up the event with a show in the neighborhood meeting square – representing the baile funk sound that comes from favelas!

The activities concluded with a soccer game between the members of Morrinho against the other NGOs!

The activities of the days are dedicated to world peace, sustainable development through the planet showing that Morrinho is more than a Social Revolution, but also of this community!!!

Briefly photos and videos of this important day will be posted, and we must remember that every July 21 Morrinho will remember these same goal: world peace and sustainable development of the planet – themes that are already regular programming of Morrinho.

Conforme anunciado, a equipe do Turismo no Morrinho é vencedora com segunda colocação nos projetos sociais da SETUR - Secretaria de Turismo do Estado do Rio de Janeiro.

O mesmo prevê a reforma de toda a infra-estrutura nos acessos à maquete original bem como a reforma da Casinha onde já viveram os dois irmãos que começaram a brincadeira, que localiza-se na Vila Pereira da Silva, em Laranjeiras, Rio de Janeiro.

Gostariamos de agradecer aos irmãos Maicon e Nelcirlan, que transformaram a brincadiera em arte no quintal de sua casa há dez anos, fornecendo uma verdadeira lição de empreendedorismo nato e trabalho em equipe que hoje viaja o mundo mostrando ao povo que o Brasil é um lugar de oportunidades, criatividade e bons exemplos!

Obrigada pela idéia da maquete, pela humildade, por acreditar na força que pode transformar a história da vida de pessoas e que isso se propague por muitas e muitas gerações!

Infrastructural Reform Confirmed for Tourism at Morrinho

As previously announced, the team of Tourism at Morrinho won second place at the social project SETUR – Secretary of Tourism for the States of Rio de Janeiro.

This will provide for reform of all of the infrastructure at the original model as well as the small house where the two brothers who started the project used to live, which is located at the Pereira da Silva community in Laranjeiras, Rio de Janeiro.

Nasce hoje, dia 14/05/08 a Oficina de Artes, Exposições e Preservação da Maquete para o Turismo no Morrinho.

A mesma será patrocinada pela Rede de Anfitriões, Sócios e Funcionários do Cama e Café, a primeira Rede de Bed & Breakfast do Brasil localizada em Santa Teresa, que trabalha o segmento de hospedagem domiciliar e assume o compromisso de mensalmente encaminhar doações em materiais para a execução deste trabalho.

A Oficina abrangerá crianças e jovens da comuidade que hoje já brincam na maquete ocupando assim seu tempo livre com entretenimento e agregando valores para uma sociedade mais justa ,além de capacitar a nova geração para as Exposições Morrinho e o Turismo no Morrinho.

Morrinho Social In Action With the New Generation of Pereira!

Today, May 14, 2008, the Office of Tourism at Morrinho open. Though this we will focus on arts, exhibitions, and preservation of the model.

The office will be sponsored by the Rede de Anfitriões, Sócios e Funcionários do Cama e Café, the first network of bed and breakfasts in Brazil, located in Santa Teresa. Cama e Café works with the sectors of home stays and had agreed to give monthly donations of materials in order for this job to be done.

The office will welcome children and youth of the community that already play at the Morrinho model. As such, they children and youth spend their free time receiving training and acquiring values that work toward a more just society. In addition, the new generation of Morrinho is receiving training for Morrinho Exhibit and Tourism at Morrinho.

Hoje a equipe TV Morrinho embarcou no vôo Air France 943 no Aeroporto do Galeão rumo ao Aeroporto Internacional Charles de Goulle em Paris. De lá, a equipe segue viagem para Viena, onde inicia as atividades e apresentações da "TV MORRINHO LIVE", que tem a sua estréia marcada na capital austríaca neste novo formado de apresentação em tempo real.

Today the team of TV Morrinho set off in Air France flight number 943 at the Galeão Airport for the Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris. From there the team will continue their trip to Vienna, where the will start their activities and presentations of “TV Morrinho Live”. The premiere of this new format of real time presentations will be shown for the first time in the Austrian capital.

The project of Cine Morrinho, yet another initiative of TV Morrinho has its premiere set for this Saturday on May 10 at 6:0 PM in the Sports Square in Pereira da Silva with the support of Rio Films. At this same exhibit will be a showing of the film “Atabaque Nzinga” with Thais Araujo.

On June 7, “Cartola” will be shown at 7:00 PM in the square of Pereira.

Mais uma vez a ONG Morrinho inova a sua arte!
Agora serão duas apresentações no mês de maio de 2008 em Viena e Berlin, é o Morrinho na Europa!
A TV Morrinho traz a proposta de uma performance ao vivo dos bonecos interagindo em tempo real através de câmeras e uma mesa de corte que produzem no telão as cenas dos bonecos na maquete em formato de exposição.
Desta forma, os expectadores podem acompanhar ao vivo a performance em formato teatro que receberá a tradução simultânea na tela das cenas que forem sendo transmitidas.

Em breve informaremos os locais , dias e horários destas apresentações.

TV Morrinho Live, A New Format of Presentation!

Yet again, the Morrinho NGO innovates its art!

Now there will be tow presentation in the month of May 2008 en Viena and Berlin, its Morrinho in Europe!

TV Morrinho brings its own type of performance where the Lego dolls act out in real time while they are filmed and projected onto a screen. In this way, the viewers can follow the performance live, as it is a type of theater that will simultaneously translated.

Very soon we will have information on the schedule and locations of the presentations.

TV Morrinho was contracted by the city to put on a showing for the Samba Schools of Mirins and Grupos de Acesso on the Marques de Sapucaí Avenue. TV Morrinho is to produce and edit an institutional video that will be five minutes long.

Equipe Turismo no Morrinho em parceria com João Vergara e Daniella Greco, mobilizadores do Projeto Social Infra-estrutura para o Turismo no Morrinho em parceria com a Riotur , a Secretaria de Turismo do Rio de Janeiro, foram os ganhadores do segundo lugar para as melhorias da infra-estrutura ao turista na visitação da maquete instalada na Vila Pereira da Silva.

Entre as listas de melhorias está a reforma da antiga casa dos irmãos Nelcirlan e Maiquinho, os idealizadores da brincadeira onde tudo começou no quintal de casa e 0nde hoje está instalada a maquete.

A casa será a nova Sede do Turismo no Morrinho para abrigar os turistas.
