Morrinho Visits The Christ, A Modern Wonder!

After crossing 3,800 meters of trail through Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world - after climbing the stairs that lead to the lookout point, we arrived at one of the modern wonders of the world, Christ The Redeemer. Morrinho, it was totally worth it!!!

Soon we will have photos of the Morrinho team visiting the Christ and video on You Tube about the tour and an exclusive interview with the president of Train do Corcovado, Mr. Sávio Neves. Stay tuned!

Neste sábado e domingo, dias 15 e 16/09, o Morrinho estará expondo a sua obra na Praça São Salvador em Laranjeiras no evento que reúne os artistas de Laranjeiras e Cosme Velho.Apareça e confira!

This Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16, Morrinho will be displaying its work in the Plaza São Salvador in Laranjeiras. Present will be artists from Laranjeiras and Cosme Velho. Come and see!

Morrinho no lançamento do Guia de Santa Teresa

Hoje foi realizado o lançamento do Guia do Pólo Gastronômico, Cultural e Turístico de Santa Teresa às 10:30 hs no Hotel Mauá Bela Vista.
O evento contou com a presença do Secretário Especial de Turismo, Dr. Rubem Medina, Secretário de Turismo, Sr. Paulo Bastos, Diretor Presidente da Riotur, Sr. Luiz Felipe Bonilha, Diretor Executivo do RCVB, Sr. Paulo Senise entre outras celebridades do trade turístico.
Também compareceram a Rede Empresarial de Santa Teresa, Rede de Anfitriões Cama e Café e Rede de Artistas Visuais de Santa Teresa, o projeto Chave Mestra, além da presença dos integrantes do Gaia Tour e Morrinho.

Today was the launching of the Dining, Cultural and Touristic Guide of Santa Teresa at 10:30 at the Hotel Manuá Bela Vista.

Among other celebrities of the tourist trade, present at the event were the Special Secretary of Tourism, Dr. Rubem Medina; the Secretary of Tourism, Mr. Paulo Bastos; President/Director of Riotur, Mr. Luiz Felipe Bonilha; and Executive Director of RCVB, Mr. Paulo Senise.

Other supporters are the Business Network of Santa Teresa, the Network of Hosts Cama e Café, the Network of Visual Artists of Santa Teresa, the project “Chave Mestra”, the members of Gaia Tour, and Morrinho.

Morrinho na Caixa Cultural de 12 de julho a 19 de setembro de 2007

Realização da exposição MORRINHO, um dos representantes brasileiros da 52ª Bienal de Veneza.No improviso, um menino juntou restos de blocos, tijolos, cimento e tintas para fazer uma brincadeira: uma maquete. Logo a distração de criança virou assunto sério, ganhou diversos colaboradores e começou a chamar a atenção.
O que é MORRINHO?
Trata-se de uma maquete de 300 m2 localizada dentro da Vila Pereira da Silva, no Morro do Pereirão, no bairro de Laranjeiras, no Rio de Janeiro. É formado por restos de tijolos e outros materiais reciclados que produzem em forma e conteúdo uma favela de verdade.A exposição reporduz na CAIXA Cultural a maquete em tijolos localizada no Morro do Pereirão.

Morrinho At The CAIXA Cultural from July 12 to September 19, 2007

Morrinho is one of the Brazilian groups presenting at the 52^nd Biennial of Venice. Merely improvising, one boy with left over bricks, cement and paint for a game: a model. After being a distraction, it turned into a serious subject and attracted many collaborators and started to call attention.

What is MORRINHO?

It is a model of 300 square meters situated in the Vila Pereira da Silva on the Pereirão Hill in the Laranjeiras neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. It is made from remains of bricks and other recycled materials to reproduce a small-sized favela. The exposition at the CAIXA Cultura is the brick models situated in Morro do Pereirão.
